There’s no denying that walkie-talkies are one of the most iconic toys from the 80s even if they’re just a little bit annoying. We all know that signature noise that walkie-talkies make when you release them from talking mode. That’s because the button on your radio made a funny noise when you pushed it which inspired many of us to do it when we were bored. Whether it was the noise or just the fact that you were pretending to be a spy, no kid could resist them.

4) ZX Spectrum Games

Whether you were a coder or just played games, it didn’t matter. You’re always going to remember those addictive games that you played on your ZX Spectrum. A firm favourite was Manic Miner where you had to help Willy the miner explore 20 caverns in search of diamonds.

There was also something about the fruity taste of orange or blackcurrant or strawberry that we all loved. Those bags that you got in your lunch box or at your school disco were an essential part of any kid’s life in the 80s.

7) Rubik’s Cube

Now you can try your hand at this mind-bending puzzle that we all grew to love back in the 80s. If you grew up in the 80s you’ll probably remember having this one. It’s an easy way to keep your hands occupied or if you’re an older generation think about how much time you wasted trying to accomplish this one.
