Greece – a wonderful place for investors

Clare Louise

Whether you’re planning a move or just looking to spend a year or two exploring something new, remember that Greece is a great place for investors. There you will find a great combination of history, vibrant modern cities, friendly people, and low prices that allow you to live well while spending relatively little money.

An optimal choice for investment

The Greek real estate market differs significantly from the housing market in Turkey, Spain, or Egypt: the concept of a “mini-city” with built-in infrastructure is not widespread here. As a rule, foreign buyers purchase Kassandra luxury real estate such as apartments and townhouses in good areas that are attractive to local buyers, and the cost of housing in different cities of the country will not differ radically.

According to experts, from the point of view of investment, townhouses, and villas located within walking distance from the beaches, apartments in the historical center of Athens and Thessaloniki, as well as boutique hotels in resort towns are considered profitable objects. Many foreign buyers are attracted to property in Greece, in part because the Mediterranean country has a wonderful climate and one of the longest and most beautiful coastlines in Europe.

Standard housing in Greece

In Greece, the number of rooms is calculated by the number of bedrooms. A typical Kassandra villas rentals means an apartment with a spacious living room combined with a kitchen, a bedroom, and a bathroom. Foreign investors often purchase classic Greek apartments with one or two bedrooms.

As a rule, the apartments have fairly large balconies: the inhabitants of Greece are used to spending a lot of time on their cozy balconies and verandas. Sofas, tables, swings, garden furniture, flowering plants, graceful awnings from rain and sun – all this can be found on Greek balconies at any time of the year.
